Stop-overs and city breaks

City of blue and gardens

In Metz, wrapped between the arms of the Moselle and Seille Rivers, water is omnipresent as it snakes its way along the 22 km of banks and flows with the rhythm of city life.

The Marina, awarded the Blue Flag, is anchored in the very heart of the city, set in the green, aquatic surroundings of the lake.

Metz, 4-flower city, is also attractive thanks to the wide variety of walks on offer where nature lives in all its glory. Here, gardens have many expressions: medieval at the Récollets, French at the Esplanade, landscaped at the Régates or resolvedly contemporary at the Seille Park, environment basin of the future Amphitheatre Quarter, and last but not least the exceptional botanical garden.

Metz, Basin of urban ecology

Basin of urban ecology, pioneer under the leadership of its European Institute of Ecology founded by Jean-Marie Pelt, Metz boasts over 37m² of open space per inhabitant.
