Marina
Close to the Esplanade and the city centre, the Marina is set against a spectacular natural and architectural backdrop. Awarded the Blue Flag, with a current capacity for 60 boats, it can comfortably accommodate all types of pleasure boats.
The quayside, Quai des Régates, is equipped for a number of water sports: rowing, canoeing, pedal boats or power boats.
Marina,
Blue Flag.
Boat-lovers will climb aboard for a meander across the water (mini-cruises from 1 to 4 hours, which can include lunch or a tea dance).
If you’re feeling peckish or thirsty, you will find a choice of refreshment stalls along the banks.
Promenade across the water
The Jouy Canal and the southern banks of the Moselle River are equipped with paths for joggers and open out onto very popular fishing areas. To the north, they lead to the Temple Neuf Jardin d’Amour (garden of love).
If you follow the Moselle River to the spot where it joins the Seille River, you will reach the Rampart Walk leading to the monumental Porte des Allemands and Bellecroix fortifications.
From here, the most experienced walkers will continue as far as the Cheneau Walk taking them all the way to the Technopôle, designed on the same model as the American landscaped business parks. It is adorned with two lakes, the Symphonie and Ariane.
